Document review

After your application has arrived, we will review it and check it is complete. If any information or documents are missing, we will contact you immediately. As soon as we have received all your documents, you can generally expect to receive feedback on your application within one to two weeks.

Invitation to come and meet us in person

If we liked your written application, we would then like to meet you in person. We do not have a standardised assessment centre. We have always found it best to meet our applicants in person. Depending on the position, we may clarify initial topics in advance in a remote or telephone interview and then invite you to (face-to-face) meeting:

• As part of the initial interview, we will discuss your background and your motivation, and answer any questions about d-fine.
• During the specialist interview, you will be asked to work on a case study or discuss specialist issues, depending on your previous qualifications – with a focus on finance.
• Last but not least, in a final interview we will discuss the contractual content as well as your career and personal development opportunities with us.
• All Interviews will mainly be conducted in German.

For interns and working students, the face-to-face meeting usually consists of an approx. one-hour interview. Topics include your career to date, your expectations and questions, and possibly working on a case study and/or discussing specialist issues.

Contractual offer

Ideally, we will establish that you are a good fit for us and d-fine a good match for your career aspirations and issue you with a contractual offer. All that is needed now is your signature! After signing, you will receive all relevant information concerning your start date and your first weeks at d-fine.

Your induction phase

When you join our Consulting team, you will take part in various induction sessions and training programmes during the first two to three weeks at d-fine. These will take place partly at our headquarters in Frankfurt and remotely. You will attend various introductory events and training sessions that will prepare you in the best possible way for your first project assignment. For example, you can expect various training sessions on technical methods, important tools and soft skills, as well as a presentation of d-fine's internal structure and an overview of our fields of activity. You will then start working with your new team.

New employees in the Corporate Services department and students (as part of an internship or working student activity) usually take part in the regular onboarding for the first two to three days and are then prepared for their specific tasks by the (project) team.
